Course Credit Program
Course Credit Program
FDT Academy is proud to announce our new Course Credit Program!
The program is available to all Grades 8-12 students who are enrolled at an accredited B.C. high school. By participating in this program, students are eligible to receive high school elective credits for their Debate class, which will go towards their B.C. graduation requirements!
The core benefit of this program is that it allows students to develop a unique set of skills that are simply not developed in any other BC course available today. This fact is recognized by the Ministry of Education and as a result, our unique course code provides a total of 4 credits – the only Debate course in B.C. to do so.
In order to graduate from high school, all students in British Columbia are required to have a minimum of 80 credits, within which, at least 28 credits are elective courses. FDT is now offering our debate courses approved for BC Ministry of Education credit.
This program is offered to both new and existing debate students. If you are a current student at FDT, you may take this course as a second group class or you may switch from your current group class into this course. Please note that this course will cover the basic fundamentals of debate; we do not suggest that advanced and competitive debaters leave their current group class.
