Have you heard yet about FDT’s Canadian Public Speaking Contest? This May, FDT is launching a nationwide public speaking contest to engage students across Canada while they are social distancing at home. Not only are there over $10,000 in cash prizes available to the winners but FDT will donate $5 to Food Banks Canada for every entry received.
FDT has been hard at work spreading the word about this unique competition to media nationwide. Our founder Frankie Cena talked to the Tri-City News about FDT’s reason for putting together this contest. “We want to be a beacon of hope,” he said. “We want to have everyone feel like this can be okay.”
But the deadline is approaching fast. Student’s video entries are due on May 6th. Be sure to submit your video as soon as possible to take part in this amazing opportunity! You can find out more about the competition including how to submit videos and the speech topic for each grade level on FDT’s website.
