The World Scholar’s Cup is a challenging and prestigious academic competition that requires students to compete in a variety of events, including quizzes, debate and writing, to test their knowledge on 6 advanced subject areas. The competition is fierce with thousands of students across the world competing, which is why FDT offers specialized classes to prepare students throughout the year for this annual event, typically held in late April or early May.
In the past, FDT students have not only succeeded greatly at the regional round in Vancouver, but they have competed in Global Rounds in Melbourne and Barcelona, as well as qualifying to the Tournament of Champions held at the prestigious Yale University. Very few academic competitions test students on both their knowledge and skills as rigorously as Scholar’s Cup, and that is why FDT is so proud to have a sterling record of success at the competition.
Our weekly group classes consist of an average of one teacher for every six students. Offered on weekends, FDT’s Scholar’s class allows students to prioritize a conveniently timed weekly lesson. Contact us to learn more!
